The Market Manager, Specific Industries, in tandem with the corresponding sales managers, is responsible for the achievement of sales and margin plans of the Business Unit (BU), according to the Major Customer Group (MCGR) for the defined segments within the Specific Industries Market.

The Market Manager is responsible for the North American (NA) Specific Industries marketing program development, product assortments and implementation, including product offering to assigned segment(s), program formation, communication, measurement, corrective action recommendations, and coordination of the planned execution. Additionally, the Market Manager - Specific Industries is responsible to define, introduce, and implement future regional focus markets for the NA Specific Industries team.

Principais responsabilidades/Principais funções

  • Development of the North America (NA) ABP for the assigned market segments
  • Conceive, develop and implement market and segment strategy for NA-specific sales concepts, as well as implementation of international concepts/programs aligned with international strategies
  • Define and develop new focus segments for the North American Specific Industries team through market research & evaluation projects, market package development, training and implementation
  • Develop executable sales strategies to promote tesa products and programs to identified End User Accounts in defined markets, and coordinate the implementation of sales activities at the corporate and local level with tesa Sales and International Key Account and Market Management
  • Drive market development activities in selected markets to increase market demand for tesa products; lead the development of selling principles, development of qualitative customer leads for new applications and support for the sales department when launching new products/ applications
  • Develop NA sales plans according to Benchmark commitments and MCGR structures in cooperation with the global market management and local sales
  • Benchmark defined NA markets, segments and applications and provide input and recommendations for International benchmarking projects and ABP processes
  • Ensure an optimal flow of information between International Management and tesa NA to implement relevant International concepts to the NA local level and to promote and provide input on NA concepts for International acceptance
  • Implement MCGR-relevant assortments of all product groups according to the NA requirements; realize price harmonization based on the lead prices of the BU´s and NA market requirements
  • Lead the development of market relationships including suppliers of complementary products
  • Communicate and promote tesa product groups specific to Distribution / Converting Partner levels and key Distribution / Converting Partners to support market growth in defined markets, increasing Distributor reliance on tesa product offering, maximizing profitable sales penetration
  • Develop and conduct training for Local Sales and strategic Distributor / Converter personnel for continued product, application, and market development and knowledge including regional and national events
  • Responsible for all sales support tools, including pricing tools (monitoring cost fluctuations, coordination of price increase announcements, etc.) and competitive intelligence
  • Initiate promotional activities including sales materials, promotions, and participation in regional and national customer events to support sales growth

Requisitos de contratação

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s in Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of five years of combined marketing and/or sales experience in similar or related field highly desired
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Must have strong leadership, strategic thinking, organizational and coaching skills
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills and business acumen to interact successfully with our Internal and External Customers
  • Strong multi-cultural / multi-level communication skills with the ability to positively influence both internal and external customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel, and experience with CRM software packages, forecasting systems, mapping software, and sales reporting systems
  • Able and willing to travel up to 60%
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus
